There be citrus trees here....
A++ to those who understood that reference ... if I'd said "There be WHALES here...." does that help?
I've got all five of my citrus trees repotted and ready to go. They are currently outside, and I'll leave them out there for the summer.
We live in zone 7b, so they'll need to come in during the winter, but we have a pretty sweet sunroom that I can store them in (that's also where I'll be starting seeds later). Now I just have to get the leak in the roof of that room repaired!
It's crazy how fast things are happening! I'm pretty impressed with the health of these trees. They are in great shape and don't appear to be suffering any trauma from the transplanting. I'll keep you posted. We purchased five in all - three trees and two are bushes.
If you're interested, we purchased them from Fast Growing Trees. I have a lovely coupon code for those of your who are interested:
Enter code: FGTBIF24HN36
and you'll get $10 off your purchase of $75 (which is super easy to spend there).
The trees / bushes we purchased are:
- Nules Clemintine Tree
- Meyer Lemon Tree
- Key Lime Bush
- Persian Lime Bush
- Calamondin Orange Tree
Pics of fruit will probably be next year, but I'll keep you posted on their health!
p.s. They smell incredible!
